Get ready for some mom time
Last year it was "mancations." Next year it could be "seniorcations." But, for this year, the "cation" that the travel industry hopes will catch on is the "momcation." Billed as "the revenge sequel" to male-bonding "mancations," the "momcation" targets mothers seeking a break from screaming infants and frustrating adolescents. According to Josh Lesnick, founder of the Web site I'm in!.com (imin.com), groups of women with names such as the Hard Working Moms, the Book Club Babes and the Runaway Mamas, are using the site to plan getaway trips.

WASHINGTON, D.C.
Discover city behind the monuments
Beyond the imposing stone and mortar structures on the National Mall is the real Washington, D.C. -- a city of neighborhoods. One is Dupont Circle, a thriving area north of downtown and the starting point for a walking tour that focuses on Embassy Row, a tree-framed residential area along Massachusetts Avenue. Many diplomatic delegations are housed there, some in homes built by turn-of-the-last-century tycoons. About 50 embassies, or nearly one-third of the city's total, can be found within the wedge formed by Massachusetts and Connecticut avenues. Visitors can take walking tours, alone or with groups such as Washington Walks, which leads $10 tours Saturdays. Go to washingtonwalks.com.
