McLEOD, Barbara Broadway on July 12, 2007 in Haslett, Michigan. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, the fifth child of James and Clara Broadway she was baptized at Fountain Baptist Church in Baltimore. Barbara graduated from Paul L. Dunbar High School at the age of 16 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Morgan State College, in Baltimore, in 1959 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. She received her R.N. Degree from Cameron State University in Lawton, OK. After 18 years of service, she retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a field consultant. Initiated in Alpha Delta Chapter at Morgan State University, she was a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She was a member of Morgan State University Alumni Association. She was a member of Meridian Christian Church in Okemos, Michigan. Barbara was active in many community health care programs in Michigan. Surviving are: her husband, Charles W. McLeod, Jr. of Haslett; children, Wayne K. (Tracy) McLeod of Novi, MI and Steven C. (Katherine) McLeod of Phoenix, AZ; and sister, Gloria B. (John) Barnes of Baltimore, MD and a host of loving relatives and friends. Memorial services are today at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with Pastor Rick Stacy of Meridian Christian Church officiating.
