Play it again -- Orioles 5, White Sox 3

Markakis heats up

Nick Markakis continued his hot hitting, going 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI double. The right fielder had three hits in Saturday's game, including the game-winning single in the 10th inning. He went 2-for-3 Friday and hit his 10th homer of the year. For the series, Markakis went 8-for-17. He's batting .419 in his past 11 games.

Baez brings it

There were a few boos directed at Orioles reliever Danys Baez when he entered in the seventh, but he retired Paul Konerko on a fly ball to end the inning. Baez then retired the side in order in the eighth. He was making his second appearance since being activated from the 15-day disabled list Thursday.

Done in by Dye

Starter Garrett Olson held the White Sox in check except for Jermaine Dye. The former All-Star hit two bases-empty homers off Olson, the second coming to lead off the sixth inning. Olson was pulled after that home run, and Paul Shuey retired the next three batters. In five innings plus one batter in the sixth, Olson gave up two runs and six hits, walked three and struck out four.

On deck

The Orioles begin a six-game West Coast trip tonight against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field. Brian Burres (4-3, 4.19) will start for the Orioles. The Mariners will counter with Horacio Ramirez (4-2, 6.47).
