Award recognizes 3 county schools
Northfield, Manor Woods and St. John's elementary schools have been awarded a Core Essentials Award by Chick-fil-A, among 10 schools nationwide to earn the distinction.

Schools participating in the program must submit an application for the award, which is accompanied by a $250 donation and an honorary plaque. The donation was matched by Joseph Dinoto, owner of the Chick-fil-A stores at Dobbin Center and Executive Park Drive in Columbia.
