The Teen Professional Theatre, a program of the Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts, will present the musical Evita! at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. July 22; and 2:30 p.m. July 23 at Reservoir High School, 11550 Scaggsville Road, Fulton.
The Teen Professional Theatre is a four-week intensive summer program for those ages 13 to 21. The program includes workshops, mentoring and a final performance.

Art workshops offered for kids
Camellia A. Blackwell, executive director of the International Center for Artistic Development at Historic Savage Mill, is offering Saturday morning art workshops for children ages 5 to 15 from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday and Aug. 11, 18 and 25 in the New Weave Building of the mill, 8600 Foundry St., Savage.
Drawing with a variety of materials will be taught Saturday; next month's classes will focus on watercolor and acrylic painting.
Children will complete a finished work at the end of each workshop. The cost is $20 a class, including materials.

"1001 Worms," a program for those ages 5 to 10 on the usefulness of worms with master gardener Susan Levi-Goerlich, will be held at 1:30 p.m. July 24. Registration is to begin Tuesday.
Programs for young children - "Play Partners" for infants and toddlers; "3, 2, Fun!" for ages 2 and 3 with an adult; "Picture Book Parade" for ages 2 to 5; and "Just for Me" for children ages 3 to 5 - that will be offered through most of the summer.

Multiservice center -- The cooperative center created by local nonprofit organizations to reach residents in the southeast area of the county, known as the North Laurel-Savage Multiservice Center, will hold a community briefing and ribbon-cutting ceremony from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday to present the expanded services offered at the center to the community. Representatives from each of the social service organizations at the center will discuss their programs and services.
