Baltimore

Northeastern

Victim identified -- Police identified yesterday Mario Joseph Mauro, 53, of the 3400 block of Harford Road as the man found beaten June 27 in the 3000 block of Rosekemp Ave.; he died July 7 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Metro Crime Stoppers, at 410-276-8888, is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and an indictment.

Central

Robbery -- A man, 23, was walking in the 1000 block of Cathedral St. about 4:30 a.m. Wednesdaywhen two apparently unarmed men robbed him of his watch and a compact-disc player. Total value of the property was $100.

Stolen vehicle -- A black 2005 Toyota Highlander with tags 347M297 was stolen Wednesday in the 200 block of W. Lanvale St.

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 2400 block of Eutaw Place on Wednesday through a window and stole a laptop computer and video games.

Burglary -- An undisclosed sum of money was stolen early Wednesday from Al Pacino Cafe in the 900 block of Cathedral Court.

Southeastern

Robbery -- A man, 67, was walking in the 100 block of N. Potomac St. about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was assaulted by two young men who robbed him of his wallet, which contained $260. The man suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Assault -- Police were seeking an 18-year-old woman who assaulted a woman, 25, with a piece of wood during an argument about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of N. Bethel St.

Theft -- A global positioning system valued at $250 was stolen Wednesday from a 2004 Toyota van parked in the 3200 block of Noble St.

Theft -- Someone entered Whittman Enterprises in the 3300 block of Elliott St. between July 6 and Tuesday and removed two refrigerators, two stoves, two dishwashers, two microwave ovens and copper guttering. Total value of the property was nearly $12,000.

Southern

Burglary -- Two 9 mm handguns, a pistol and ammunition were stolen Monday from the second-floor bedroom of a house in the 1100 block of W. Hamburg St. Entry was through a rear window.

Burglary -- Someone broke into GT Liquors in the 2000 block of Wilkens Ave. between Saturday and Monday and stole 40 phone cards, an undisclosed sum of money, 70 cartons of cigarettes and 16 rolls of state lottery tickets.

Baltimore County

Pikesville

Shooting -- A teenage boy was shot in the leg about 6 p.m. yesterday in the 3600 block of Rockdale Terrace and ran to the campus of nearby Milford Mill Academy on Washington Avenue. Police said the boy, who appeared to be 17 or 18, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. . Anyone with information is asked to call the precinct at 410-887-1279.

Cockeysville

Burglary -- Video games systems and their accessories - all worth at least $500 - were stolen Sunday or Monday from an apartment in the first block of Staghorn Court. The intruder may have entered with a key that the occupant reported had been lost or stolen.

Woodlawn

Robbery -- Police were seeking a man armed with a knife who robbed a boy, 14, of his cell phone valued at more than $200 about 4:30 p.m. Saturday while the boy walked along North Avenue near Kernan Drive in Arbutus.

Wilkens

Burglary -- Several pieces of jewelry - all worth nearly $300 - were stolen between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday from the bedroom of a house in the 2800 block of Alabama Ave. in Baltimore Highlands by someone who entered through the front door.
