Central
Arrests -- Three women were arrested early Sunday and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun. About 2 a.m., police monitoring a surveillance camera installed at West Lexington and Greene streets observed a woman in possession of a handgun enter a car along with two other women and drive off. The monitoring officers alerted district police, and the car was stopped at West Fayette Street and King Boulevard. Recovered from the car was a loaded Smith & Wesson 9 mm semiautomatic handgun that had been stolen in 1995. Arrested and charged were Shantel Hawkins, 25, of the 5000 block of Lamont Way; Sharon Chartwells, 24, of the 3300 block of Dudley Ave. in the Belair-Edison neighborhood; and Tnesha Neale, no age given, of the 9800 block of Carrington Court.
Arrest -- About 10 a.m. Monday, police entered the light rail station in the 600 block of W. Patapsco Ave. and arrested Stephon Conger, 26, of the 2900 block of Bero Road on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Conger is charged with shooting Marcus Anderson, 21, in the 400 block of Tyson St. on June 30.
Burglary -- Two jackhammers - valued together at $4,000 - were stolen over the weekend from a building under renovation in the 200 block of W. Redwood St.

Arrest -- Timothy English, 26, of the 700 block of E. 36th St. was arrested about 11 a.m. yesterday at a state parole and probation office in the 300 block of N. Gay St. by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. English is charged with shooting Anthony Allen, 19, of the 2800 block of W. Mulberry St. on June 27 in the 2700 block of Ashland Ave. and was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.
Arrest -- New York City fugitive squad police entered a Bronx furniture store Friday and arrested Clark Garcia, 24, of the 3700 block of White Pine Road in Middle River, Baltimore County, on a warrant charging him with rape. Garcia is charged with raping a woman in the 300 block of Folcroft St. on March 1. Garcia was being held in the Bronx while awaiting an extradition hearing.
Southern
Stabbing -- Police were seeking a woman, 24, who attacked another woman, 20, in the 1900 block of W. Lombard St. about 2:30 a.m. Friday and stabbed the victim in the stomach. The victim was driven by a friend to University of Maryland Medical Center; she was expected to survive.
Assault -- A male attendant at a gas station in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. was in the office about 3 p.m. Sunday when a man armed with a knife entered and threatened to stab him before fleeing. No arrest had been made.
