The No. 1 show on American television this summer features a contortionist who wraps his legs around his neck and bounces across the stage on his butt. He calls himself Rubberboy.
Another performer, Leonid the Magnificent, wears an Aztec headdress and silver armor as he marches two chained and scantily clad women on their knees back and forth before the audience. A third contestant, named Thoth, plays an electric violin and sings fiercely off-key in a language that he alone knows.
On TV America's Got Talent airs at 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 p.m. Wednesday on WBAL (Channel 11).
