Help sought identifying remains

After nearly two years and no leads, Anne Arundel County police are seeking the public's help in identifying the remains of woman found in a county park.

Two boys discovered the remains in July 2005 while walking through a wooded area at Arundel Association Park near Brooklyn Park.

The boys saw what appeared to be a leg sticking out of a blanket, a skull, pants and shoes and notified authorities, police said.

The remains were taken to the state medical examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy.

No signs of trauma were apparent, police said.

Police believe that the remains belong to a female between the ages of 19 and 23, weighing about 115 pounds.

Anyone with information is urged to call 410-222-3453 or 410-222-8610.
