The Baltimore Sun

Transformers

Rating -- PG-13

What it's about -- Deceptive, transforming robots attack Earth; deceptive, transforming good robots already here help defend it.

The Kid Attractor Factor -- Shia LaBeouf, lots of explosions and more Chevrolets than you can count.

Good lessons/bad lessons -- Maybe that Camaro is "more than meets the eye."

Violence -- Lots, though the actual carnage isn't graphic.

Language -- Profanity.

Sex -- Flirtation, short skirts.

Drugs -- None.

Parents' advisory -- If you're old enough to have loved the TV cartoons, your kids are probably old enough to see this.

License to Wed

Rating -- PG-13

What it's about -- Young couple want to marry, but first, the pastor wants to give them a few tests.

The Kid Attractor Factor -- Mandy Moore, John Krasinski, tormented by Robin Williams and Josh Flitter.

Good lessons/bad lessons -- Testing yourself and your future spouse before marriage is smarter than facing those "tests" after "I do."

Violence -- Slapstick.

Language -- Innuendo aplenty.

Sex -- Not quite.

Drugs -- Alcohol is drunk to excess.

Parents' advisory -- Not really appropriate for 12-and-younger; it probably won't interest them, anyway.
