Robert Thomas Barrett Sr., a retired W.R. Grace & Co. foreman and outdoorsman, died Saturday at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie of complications from a stroke he suffered last month. The longtime Pasadena resident was 67.

Mr. Barrett was born in Sandusky, Ohio, and raised in Huron, Ohio, where he graduated from high school in 1959.

He moved to Pasadena in 1959 and worked for Kennicott Copper and Refining Co. from 1960 to 1984. He was a foreman at W.R. Grace & Co. for 18 years, until retiring in 2002.

Mr. Barrett enjoyed deer hunting and was a charter member of the Bay Rod and Gun Club. "He was an avid deer hunter and used to ask me, 'When's your birthday?' and I'd say, 'Don't worry, it's during deer season,'" said his companion of five years, Phyllis M. Kisner of Pasadena.

Other hobbies included fishing and playing poker.

Mr. Barrett was an active member of the men's auxiliary at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2462 in Pasadena.

His wife of 35 years, the former Helene Darlene Kucharski, died 1998.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Gonce Funeral Home, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena.

Also surviving are two sons, Robert T. Barrett Jr. of Millersville and David Barrett of Glen Burnie; two brothers, Patrick Barrett of Frederick and Edward Barrett of Norwalk, Ohio; and five granddaughters.
