MARIETTA, Ga. -- Atholton's Tatyana McFadden added two more gold medals to her growing trophy case with wins in the 200 and 800 meters at the U.S. Paralympic National Track & Field Championships.
"It was a good weekend," McFadden said. "Overall, I raced pretty well. I love competition."
Originally scheduled to race the 400- and 1,500-meter events, too, McFadden chose to head home to Columbia early to prepare for future competition, in Canada.
She won't be joining the U.S. Paralympic Team in the Pan American Games in Brazil next month. Instead, she will head to Ontario for several races, including the Boiling Point Classic in Windsor that could qualify her for the IAAF World Championships.
