Ratatouille
Rating -- G
What it's about -- A country rat finds a way to live his dream and become a chef in Paris, so long as the humans don't realize who's doing the cooking.
The Kid Attractor Factor -- Cute rats, a couple of good chases.
Good lessons/bad lessons -- You are more than the circumstances of your birth.
Violence -- Dead rats, here and there.
Language -- Very clean, occasionally French.
Sex -- A mild flirtation between cooks. This is Paris, after all.
Drugs -- Wine is served.
Parents' advisory -- Sweet and inoffensive, it's also the talkiest cartoon in many a moon, and it's a bit long for the 5-and-younger crowd.
Live Free or Die Hard
Rating -- PG-13
What it's about -- Web-terrorists crash America's computers and the only guy standing in their way is one hacker and the cop protecting him - John McLane.
The Kid Attractor Factor -- It's Die Hard! And that guy from the Apple commercials!
Good lessons/bad lessons -- Being a "hero" isn't all it's cracked up to be. But sometimes, "you've gotta be that guy."
Violence -- Practically non-stop.
Language -- Some profanity.
Sex -- A hot and heavy moment or two.
Drugs -- None.
Parents' advisory -- It's every bit as violent as the earlier, R-rated Die Hards, so leave the 12-and-younger kids at home with a sitter when you go to this one.
