Victim of fatal shooting named

The victim in a fatal shooting Friday night in Ellicott City has been identified as 21-year-old Moeen Sadiq Raja, according to Howard County police.

Police, responding to a report of several shots fired, found Raja's body in a Honda Accord that had struck several other cars in a parking lot in the 3100 block of West Springs Drive, authorities said yesterday.

Raja, of the 3300 block of Hollow Court in Ellicott City, suffered at least one gunshot wound, but no additional information about his injuries was available, police said.

Driver, passenger die in 1-car crash

Two Baltimore residents were killed in a one-car accident after the driver lost control Friday night, according to police.

Randy Livingston, 20, the driver, and Cornell Stamper, 19, a rear passenger, both of the 2000 block of Ruxton Ave., died of their injuries.

One of the surviving passengers, Kenneth Holland, 17, said yesterday that he and his friends were driving around because Livingston had purchased a 1998 Nissan Maxima two days before at an auction, he said.

They were traveling on Gwynns Falls Parkway near Tioga Parkway in West Baltimore when Livingston lost control after hitting a pothole, Holland said.

Holland was released from Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday with minor injuries. The other survivor, whose name was not released by the police, was still hospitalized.

Unidentified man found fatally shot

A Baltimore man in his mid- to late-20s was fatally shot yesterday morning in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Ave., according to police. The man was discovered about 3 a.m. in a green 2006 Hyundai Elantra at Pennsylvania Avenue and Mosher Street around 3 a.m. His name was not released, pending notification of his family. Police ask anyone with information to call homicide at 410-396-2100.

Man dies of gunshot wounds

A man who was shot late Friday in Middle River died yesterday, according to police. Police received a call about shots being fired about 10:30 p.m. Friday at Bayville and Kittendale roads. A man, whom police declined to identify, was taken to Franklin Square Hospital Center, where he died yesterday.
