Shooting -- A 16-year-old male was being treated Thursday at Greater Baltimore Medical Center near Towson for a gunshot wound to the right knee. The victim told police he and several other males were involved in an altercation in the 5600 block of Sefton Ave. in Northeast Baltimore about 7 p.m. Wednesday when someone in the crowd fired shots, one of which hit him in the knee. Police said the victim got a ride to the hospital. No arrest had been made.
Shooting -- Shortly before 12:15 a.m. Thursday, police were in the 1500 block of Carswell St. when they observed a man holding his right hand in a towel. The man, 27, told police he was shot shortly after he left a Chinese carryout in the 2700 block of Harford Road by a man who attempted to rob him. The victim told police he was shot in the hand when he tried to push the gun away from his head. The victim was treated at the Raymond Curtis National Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital and was in good condition.
Burglary -- On June 13, someone broke into a house under renovation in the 800 block of N. Fulton Ave. through a rear door and stole a bathtub valued at $350. Five days later, police believe the same person broke into the house again and stole another bathtub, also valued at $350.
Burglary -- A generator of unknown value and $24,000 worth of copper wiring were stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from a BGE substation in the 4500 block of Annapolis Road by someone who entered the property after cutting a hole in a fence. Anyone with information is asked to call the precinct at 410-887-0872.
