Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting -- Police were seeking a gunman who approached a man, 37, in the 2000 block of E. Hoffman St. about 1 a.m. Tuesday and shot him in the head. The victim, who was unable to tell police who shot him or why, was reported in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Arrest -- Andre Jordan, 36, of no fixed address, was arrested Wednesday night in the 1600 block of E. Chase St. by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Jordan is charged with shooting another man in the 1200 block of E. North Ave. about 2 a.m. May 18.


Drug arrests -- A tenant of a high-rise apartment building in the 700 block of Druid Park Lake Drive and another man were arrested Tuesday night and charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, said Detective David Jones of the district's drug enforcement unit. After an undercover purchase of cocaine from the tenant of an 11th-floor apartment at Lakeview Towers in May, police raided the apartment about 8:15 p.m. Found in an empty pack of cigarettes on top of a TV set were 17 plastic baggies of crack cocaine. Seized from one of the men was $60, believed to be proceeds from cocaine sales, Jones said. Held at Central Booking and Intake Center on $50,000 bail each were the tenant, Nelson Stroman, 54, and Cardinair Davis, 25, of the 200 block of N. Fremont Ave.

Theft -- A camera valued at $200 was stolen between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday from a truck parked in the 1700 block of St. Paul St. by someone who broke one of the vehicle's front windows.

Theft -- A laptop computer valued at $1,564 was stolen Tuesday from a 2004 Toyota parked in the 800 block of Cathedral St.

Theft -- Someone broke into a 2001 Toyota parked in the 1400 block of Maryland Ave. Tuesday and removed an iPod valued at $400.


Robbery -- A teenage boy was leaving a store in the 6400 block of Walther Blvd. about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when he was assaulted by several other teenage males who robbed him of an iPod valued at $300.

Stolen vehicle -- A silver 1998 Cadillac with tags 6CL 217 was stolen Tuesday in the 4600 block of Findley Ave.


Stolen vehicle -- A burgundy 2001 Dodge Intrepid with temporary tags 62088Y was stolen early Tuesday from the 3100 block of Kentucky Ave.

Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a red 2000 Pontiac van with tags 881M124 which was stolen Tuesday from the 2100 block of Chesapeake Ave.


Arrest -- Eugene Crockett, 21, whose address was not available, was arrested Tuesday in the 200 block of Furrow St. on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Crockett is charged with shooting another man May 24 in the first block of Gorman Ave.

Stolen vehicle -- A blue 2003 Ford F-250 pickup truck with tags 66T 070 was stolen early Tuesday from a parking lot in the 2200 block of Edmondson Ave.

Burglaries/arrests -- Three young males were arrested Tuesday and charged with breaking into two houses that day - one in the 9200 block of Cornflower Road and the other in the 9200 block of Sandra Park Road - and stealing jewelry, a DVD player, cash and a camera. Their names were not available.


Burglary -- A TV, laptop computer, digital camera and cell phone - all valued at $2,600 - were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 9800 block of Edisto Way by someone who entered through a rear sliding glass door.


Robbery -- Police were seeking three men, one armed with a knife and another with a handgun, who forced their way into an townhouse in the 1000 block of Misty Lynn Circle about 1 a.m. Tuesday and robbed four occupants of video games, their accessories, a computer and four cell phones - all valued at more than $1,000. The men escaped in a red or burgundy car.


Burglary -- About $500 cash, clothing and keys were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 4400 block of Old Court Road by someone who entered through the front door.

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 6900 block of Harrowdale Road Tuesday and stole a laptop computer, car keys and an iPod.

Burglary -- Video games valued at $300 were stolen Tuesday from a townhouse in the 6800 block of Bonnie Ridge Drive by someone who entered through a sliding glass door.


Burglary -- At least 60 DVDs, a DVD player and clothing - all worth nearly $1,600 - were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 700 block of Charing Cross Road by someone who entered through a kitchen window.
