Angela Manglitz, a four-year equestrian program volunteer with Special Olympics Howard County and a graduate of Glenelg Country School, has been selected for the Jackie Burk Memorial Award for Outstanding Student Volunteer for 2007.
Travis Erdman, a graduate of Centennial High School, has been selected for the Allan Homes Award for Outstanding Student Volunteer for 2007. He has volunteered with the aquatics program for three years, coaching and serving on the Unified Relay team.
Both will receive one-time scholarship awards of $1,500.
David Griffith, also a three-year volunteer in the aquatics program, was selected as a runner-up for the Allan Homes Award, and will receive a $500 scholarship award. He is a graduate of Hammond High School.
Special Olympics Howard County recognizes its outstanding student volunteers each year by awarding college scholarships.
