City man, 30, is fatally shot

A man was shot and killed early yesterday in Northeast Baltimore, the city's 129th slaying victim of the year.

The shooting occurred shortly after midnight in the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello neighborhood.

Police responded to a call for a shooting in the 1700 block of E. 30th St. and reported finding a 30-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his head and body. He was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital at 12:33 a.m.

Police identified the victim as Tyrone Willie Bonner of the 1600 block of Chilton St.

Through yesterday evening, the city had recorded 130 killings -- 16 more homicides than at this time last year.
