Contemporary art, it is often said, seeks to provide the viewer with a meaningful experience rather than with something to look at.
So perhaps it should come as no surprise that the unnerving art of Joseph Grigely, whose works are on view at the Contemporary Museum, is notable for providing viewers with experiences of a particularly unsettling and perplexing sort.
