While hiking in the San Francisco Bay area last month, I took this shot of the celebrated Golden Gate Bridge, looking toward the city. My wife, Ann, and I spent almost six days along the trails in the area, with a guide from the Sierra Club. The redwoods are a special treat here, too. The builder of the bridge, Joseph B. Strauss, also penned a beautiful poem in their honor. It's called "The Redwoods."
