Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting -- A 36-year-old man was shot in the abdomen by an unknown assailant about 9:40 p.m. Thursday as he walked along Hillen Road near Hartsdale Road. The victim was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and was expected to survive. Anyone with information was urged to call the district detective unit at 410-396-2444.


Arsons -- Police were seeking whoever set at least three fires between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Thursday. The first fire was reported at Bank and Bonsal streets, where a stolen car was set on fire. At 2 a.m., firefighters responding to a fire at Cornwall and Bank streets found another car and a shed on fire. At 3 a.m., someone set fire to a shed on Angelsea Street. Anyone with information was urged to call the police district at 410-396-2422.

Assault -- A 25-year-old man was reported in good condition early yesterday at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after an unknown man stabbed him in the back and arm about 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of S. Fagley St.

Theft -- Someone entered a 2005 Honda sport utility vehicle parked in the 900 block of Fell St. about 10 a.m. Thursday after breaking a window and stole a digital camera, two pairs of sunglasses and a suitcase. The property was valued at nearly $1,900.


Robbery -- A man entered Dunkin Donuts in the first block of Light St. about 5 p.m. Thursday and announced a robbery while implying he was armed with a handgun. The man fled moments later with an undisclosed sum.


Shooting -- An unknown gunman shot a 25-year-old man in the left arm about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday as the victim was about to enter his car parked in the 200 block of Diener Place. The victim drove himself to St. Agnes Hospital, where he was treated and released.


Carjacking -- Two men were standing outside their cars in the 500 block of Roundview Road about 4 a.m. Wednesday when three men in another car stopped. When one of the trio pointed a gun at the two men, they fled on foot. By the time the two men returned to the scene, one of their cars, a gold four-door 2005 Taurus with tags 6CR T64, had been driven away.

Baltimore County


Burglary -- Several CDs and a CD changer were stolen Wednesday from a car parked on Jerome Jay Drive.

Burglary -- A laptop computer was stolen Wednesday from the offices of a medical services firm in the 10100 block of York Road in Hunt Valley by someone who broke a glass front door to gain entry.


Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of Main St. in Reisterstown Wednesday and stole jewelry of unknown value.
