The 15th "Taste of Wilde Lake," a craft show with free food and lemonade, entertainment and activities, will be held from noon to 4 p.m. May 12 at Wilde Lake Village Center.
Among the activities planned are balloon animals, face-painting, a watermelon-eating contest, belly dancing and dance and karate demonstrations. There will be an opportunity to take a Mother's Day photo from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Volunteers are needed for the event, which is sponsored by the Wilde Lake Community Association and village merchants.

Spring Fair set Saturday at school
Longfellow Elementary School will hold its Spring Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine at the school, 5470 Hesperus Drive.
The Baltimore Ravens mascot is to be available for pictures, as will Sponge Bob and Mickey Mouse look-alikes.
Entertainment is to include silent auctions and raffles, an obstacle course and Velcro wall, carnival games, Dance Dance Revolution, crafts, food and a bake sale.
Those who attend are asked to take a newspaper to recycle; they will receive one free ticket to a game or activity. Admission to the fair is free.

Tap dancing lessons for kids set to start
Judy Templeton will teach spring tap classes for boys and girls, beginning Tuesday. A class for boys is to begin at 5 p.m.; for girls, at 5:30 p.m. at Slayton House in Wilde Lake Village Center.
