Flip Cup

The lowdown -- This weekend at Recher Theatre, teams from the United Statesand Canada come together for one of the most competitive local drinking tournaments of the year - the World Series of Flip Cup. The event features teams of six people battling in a best-of-seven match. Contestants compete for cash, a championship trophy and a custom table. A King of the Table match will be held to determine the best player.

If you go -- The event takes place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Recher Theatre, 512 York Road in Towson. Registration will be held noon-12:45 p.m. before the competition. Tickets are $25-$28. Go to world Block party

The lowdown -- Enjoy music and browse through art, antiques and jewelry at the annual Spring Block Party in Federal Hill. Ten bands, including Basshound and Soul'd Out, will perform at this year's event, which helps kick off Baltimore's neighborhood festival season.

Big laughs

The lowdown -- Radio host, actor and standup comic Steve Harvey brings laughter to Constitution Hall tonight. The comedian, whose syndicated radio show airs in nearly 50 markets, has gained the title "The King of Comedy" for his acclaimed work.
