Leadership group plans breakfast

Leadership Anne Arundel, which provides training, information and networking opportunities aimed at developing community leaders, will hold a free information breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday in Rooms 114 and 115 of the Hospitality, Culinary Arts and Tourism Institute, Anne Arundel Community College, Glen Burnie Town Center, 7438 Ritchie Highway.

Tech Council plans mixer Wednesday

The Anne Arundel Tech Council will hold an InfoMixer from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chesapeake Innovation Center, 175 Admiral Cochrane Drive, Suite 400, Annapolis.

Participants will network with the area's top technology and homeland security executives.

The mixer is free for members and $20 for nonmembers.

Fashion show set for Thursday

The Maryland capital chapter of American Business Women's Association will hold its annual fashion show at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Doubletree Hotel, 210 Holiday Court, Annapolis.

The event will feature models showing fashion, makeup and hair; a live auction, and a raffle. Tickets are $65.

Association accepts Crosby Marketing Crosby Marketing has been elected to membership in the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

Crosby Marketing's professional, creative and technical skills, financial integrity and advertising achievements were examined.

Search technology to be discussed

The Anne Arundel Tech Council will hold "Hot Markets," a panel discussion on the latest in data search technologies, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. April 24 at the Maritime Institute of Technology, 692 Maritime Blvd., Linthicum.

Group to honor 25 Md. youths

The Maryland Association of Resources for Family and Youth will honor 25 Maryland children who have overcome challenges at its annual awards reception and presentation at 6 p.m. Thursday at La Fontaine Bleu, 7514 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie.

Two volunteers will also be honored for their commitment to saving young lives.

Chamber names membership chief

Kent G. Drinker has been named membership director of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.

Drinker lives on Kent Island with his wife and two daughters.

Golf tournament to benefit charity

Carpet Network Servicing in Anne Arundel County will host a golf tournament at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Compass Pointe Golf Course, 9010 Fort Smallwood Road, Pasadena.

Proceeds will be donated to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
