Soroptimists honoring Ingram of Grassroots

Andrea Ingram, executive director of Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, is being honored by Soroptimist International of Howard County, a service organization for business and professional women.

She will be presented with the "2007 Making a Difference for Women Award" at the organization's awards dinner April 19.

An authority on crisis intervention and homelessness, Ingram was recognized last year with the Distinguished Alumni Award by Leadership Howard County and was named to the Howard County Women's Hall of Fame in 2004.

She also has been a recipient of the Audrey Robbins Humanitarian Award of the Association of Community Services.

Sister Patricia Eck is award recipient

Sister Patricia A. Eck, chairwoman of the board of directors of Bon Secours Health System in Marriottsville, has been named as a recipient of the 2007 Sister Mary Concilia Moran Award by the Catholic Health Association of the United States.

The award, to be presented at the association's annual assembly in June, recognizes leadership in demonstrating commitment to Catholic health care and making a difference in the communities the association serves.
