April 4, 2007 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD following a brief illness JULIA LAMPSON BLACKWOOD of Davidsonville, MD passed away. She was 56 years old. Julie Blackwood was born on November 23, 1950 in Hartford Connecticut to the late Rutledge Starr and Linda Virginia Dwight Lampson. She attended Tunxis School and Oxford School in West Hartford and Smith College in Northampton, MA. She was a fabric artist and designer for over 35 years. Julie Blackwood is survived by her husband, J. Temple Blackwood of Davidsonville, MD; 3 sons, Starr Blackwood and his wife Mandi of Penobscot, ME; Andrew Blackwood and his wife, Leigh of Queenstown, MD; Alex Blackwood of Castine, ME; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Sebastian, and Bianca Blackwood. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church, Leeland, 14111 Oak Grove Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20775. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Arthritis Foundation c/o Research & Development, 9505 Reisterstown Road, Suite 1 North, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
