Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five

On March 31, 2007, Edmund Joseph "E.J." Mellendick, Jr., beloved husband of Kathy Mellendick; loving father of Mark, Craig and Brian, father in-law of Lani and Karen; and devoted grandfather "Pop" of Megan, Amanda, Allison, Kelly, Shannon and Erin. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 2nd from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at STERLING ASHTON SCHWAB WITZKE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5422 Old Frederick Road, Catonsville, with interment to follow in the St. Alphonsus Church Cemetery, Woodstock, MD.
