City girl, 16, found mortally wounded
A 16-year-old girl was fatally shot Friday night in the O'Donnell Heights section of Southeast Baltimore, police said yesterday.
Estefany Gonzalez of the 5200 block of Eastern Ave. was found lying in the road in the 6300 block of Toone St. by a passing motorist about 10:45 p.m., said Officer Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman.
Gonzalez was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and was pronounced dead at 11:17 p.m., Monroe said. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, Monroe said.
Man slain Saturday identified
Baltimore police yesterday identified a 21-year-old man who was fatally shot Saturday afternoon.
Andre McBride of the 500 block of N. Fremont Ave. was found lying inside the doorway of a house in the 6600 block of Knottwood Court, with a gunshot wound to the head, about 2:30 p.m., said Officer Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman. He was taken to Sinai Hospital and pronounced dead at 3:39 p.m., she said.
The shooting is under investigation, Monroe said.
