Couture exhibit fashions a case for workmanship

In two corners of an unassuming little shopping center in Glen Burnie, examples of some of the greatest talents in fashion hang elegantly from mannequins and display rods.

A black-and-white polka dot shift dress by Pierre Cardin. A pristine bone-colored skirt suit designed by Coco Chanel. Gowns by Adolfo, Yves Saint Laurent, Galanos. Ensembles by Trigere, Lanvin and Pucci.

If you go The exhibit, Thirty Years of Haute Couture, is on display at the Centre at Glen Burnie, 6711 Ritchie Highway, in the mall's main corridor, through April 30. The mall is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the week; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
