Kathleen "Joan" Merryman Buchan joined her beloved husband, Inglis Phillip Oram Buchan, on March 14, 2007. She passed following a sudden illness which allowed time for family and friends to say good-bye. Joan Buchan was born in Towson, Maryland in 1922 and, after living in Plymouth, England for a while with her husband, she moved back to Maryland. Donations or contributions should be sent in Joan's name to: CARROLL HOSPICE, 95 CARROLL STREET, WESTMINSTER, MD 21157. Joan Buchan will be remembered by all as a caring and loving person. "Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond's glint on snow. I am the sunlight on the ripening grain, I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in the circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die."
