The man convicted of being the ringleader of a 2004 arson conspiracy in Charles County was sentenced yesterday to 3 1/2 years in federal prison for gun and drug charges.
Patrick Walsh, 22, of Fort Washington is serving almost 20 years after being convicted in 2005 for planning and helping to set fires that destroyed dozens of homes in the Hunters Brooke development in Indian Head.
In January, Walsh pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt to conspiracy to distribute the illegal drug Ecstasy and to possessing firearms while being a drug user, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
U.S. District Judge Roger W. Titus ordered that Walsh serve the 42-month prison sentence imposed yesterday concurrently with longer sentence for arson.
