REALITY CHECK

The Baltimore Sun

In Survivor, the older contestants are usually out right quick. Sometimes they're too bossy, sometimes they're too slow in competitions, and sometimes they just don't fit in to the younger people's cliquey ways. But so far, Yau-Man, a 54-year-old computer engineer, is doing all right on Survivor: Fiji. He artfully dodged host Jeff Probst's question about whether he trusts his tribe by saying he lives by this credo: "Love many, trust few, do wrong to none." He came across as kind and coherent, despite two weeks of no real food and little water. We'll see how he fares next week, but thus far, well done.
