Bodies of 14 recovered in Iraq

The bodies of 14 missing police officers were found near a school in Diyala province yesterday after a group linked to al-Qaida claimed to have kidnapped members of a government security force in retribution for the alleged rape of a Sunni Arab woman. Police confirmed that the 14 men were found shot through the head with their hands tied behind their backs. pg 8A


Ravens lose Pashos, Mughelli

The Ravens were spectators on the first day of free agency as offensive tackle Tony Pashos agreed on a five-year, $24 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars and running back Ovie Mughelli signed a six-year, $18 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons. All-Pro linebacker Adalius Thomas reportedly will sign with the New England Patriots today. pg 1c
