'Go, Diego, Go!'

The animated star of Nick Jr.'s hit series Go, Diego, Go! comes to life at the new theatrical family show Go, Diego, Go Live! The Great Jaguar Rescue. The musical visits the Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center for nine performances Wednesday through March 4. Eight-year-old Diego, along with his big sister, Alicia, and cousin Dora the Explorer star in the production, which features familiar songs -- with both English and Spanish lyrics -- from the TV series. In the show, the three characters go on a mission to help get their pal Baby Jaguar's growl back from the evil Bobo brothers.

Performances take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 and 2, 10:30 a.m. March 1, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 3 and 4 and 5 p.m. March 3 at the Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center, 12 N. Eutaw St. Tickets $15-$43. Call 410-547-SEAT or go to ticketmaster.com.
