It's rare to find a pinot noir with some of the character of an authentic Burgundy at this price, but the people who make Hunterdon pull it off. Don't let the light color fool you; this red wine packs a lot of flavor - cassis, black cherry and a subtle earthiness. The finish is impressively long, and the balance of fruit and acidity is impeccable. Serve with roast chicken or seared tuna steak.
