James E. Lantz

James E. Lantz, a retired Towson barber and hairstylist, died of a heart attack Feb. 7 at his home in Sandusky, Ohio, where he had lived since 1998 and where his funeral was held Monday. He was 62.

Mr. Lantz was born in Spangler, Pa., and raised in Dundalk, where he graduated from Dundalk High School in 1963.

After graduating from barber school, Mr. Lantz opened Tollgate Barber Shop in Towson. He operated the business until 1997, when he retired because of failing health.

He collected model automobiles and liked playing the organ.

Surviving are his mother, Sarah K. Lantz of Sandusky, and a sister, Patricia Fields of Huron, Ohio.
