Comment -- Three years ago, a win in Raleigh began a late-season surge that got the Terps their only ACC tournament title since 1984. Maryland has dropped its past two at both State and Clemson.

Comment -- Ron Timus and the Bears backed down from Hampton in Saturday's upset loss and will need to show more aggression tonight.

Comment -- With one fewer conference win than the second-place team in the Northeast Conference, the Mountaineers close out their home schedule against Monmouth, which went to the NCAA tournament last year.

Comment -- The Mids got two road wins that brightened their season. Holy Cross is coming off of its first Patriot League loss, at Bucknell, while Army is on a five-game skid.

Comment -- Gary Neal and the Tigers should make it two in a row Wednesday, but they have yet to win three straight, something they'll have to do to secure their first winning season since 1995-96.
