The Yoga Center of Columbia will continue to offer classes at Slayton House on Wilde Lake Village Green.
"Baby and Me" is offered at 6:15 p.m. and "Adult Yoga" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays. A six-week session is to begin Feb. 20. The cost is $90; $18 to drop in.
"Senior Yoga" will be offered from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 22 through March 27. The classes are slower paced and emphasize yogic breathing and stress reduction. The cost is $78 for six weeks or $15 to drop in.
Columbia lien payers can request a 10 percent discount.
The classes are appropriate for all levels of experience. It is recommended that those beginning an exercise program should consult a physician before starting.
Registration is required. There will be no refunds after the first class.
Benefit magic show scheduled for Feb. 24
The Magic of Shawn Anthony will present "Seeing is Believing" at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at Slayton House Theatre on Wilde Lake Village Green. Anthony, a performance artist, has won many awards.
Tickets are $20; $10 for children to age 12. A portion of the proceeds will benefit cancer research.

Seminar to show ways to wake up garden
Slayton House will offer the last in a series of seminars, "Waking Up the Garden," with Deborah Patton, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28.
Admission is free. The program is sponsored by the Wilde Lake Community Association.
Graduates -- Pvt. Jee W. Hong, a 2004 graduate of Wilde Lake High School, has graduated from the Automated Logistical Specialist Advanced Individual Training course at the U.S. Army Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va. The course is designed to train soldiers to establish and maintain stocks of equipment and supplies and process stock records. Hong is the son of Soon O. Jung of Columbia.
Candidates sought -- Wilde Lake Community Association is seeking candidates for five seats on the village board and one seat on the Columbia Council, also known as the Columbia Association board of directors. The positions are for one year, beginning May 1. The nomination period runs from Feb. 20 through March 7. Volunteers needed -- Slayton House will celebrate its 40th birthday this summer with a "Fabulous at 40" birthday party sponsored by the Wilde Lake Community Association. The event, scheduled for June 16-17, will include entertainment, food, games, a tour of historic homes and a dedication. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate the event. Laughter workout -- Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks is sponsoring "Another Way to See It," a laughter club for those ages 55 and older. The program includes laughter exercises.
