2006 Pannotia Vineyards Torrontes, Mendoza ($10)
The little-known torrontes is Argentina's most distinctive white wine, and this is a sensational example. It's fresh, lively and so fruity it's easy to overlook its fully dry character. Its floral aromas are followed by vibrant flavors of lime, grapefruit, herbs and minerals. This wine should be drunk young - preferably between now and Labor Day. Serve with shellfish, sole, tilapia.
