Remember heat? Randy Chabot is a heating and cooling contractor. He moved here from Michigan last year and was somehow surprised - go figure -by our summer weather. "Was last summer hotter than normal? I felt like I was going to die some days," he says. Poor Randy, welcome to the Tidewater. Our steamy, suffocating summers are why air conditioners were invented. Last summer was the hottest here since 1995, with 37 days in the 90s. But in Baltimore, it's not the heat, it's the humility.
