Q&A; -- Warren Gordon, North Carroll, Basketball

Senior forward Warren Gordon scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in an upset of Westminster last week. Gordon, 6 feet 3, averages four points, 5.5 rebounds and one assist a game while blocking a team-leading seven shots this season for the Panthers (9-6). His coach, Lloyd Ford, said the most impressive thing about Gordon is, "he just plays like he's having a good time."

I just stayed focused and stepped up for that game. The most significant thing about that game was the alley-oop pass to me from Jason Wheately for a layup after he stole the ball. I got fouled and completed a three-point play. I didn't dunk because there were guys right behind me.

Was that your best game of the season and the team's top game so far?

Yes, it was for me and the team. We lost our next game to Tuscarora when we had shooting problems.

Do you play any other sports?

I used to play football last year, but now it's just basketball. I like the competitive part and just being in a game.

What does North Carroll need to do to improve?

I think ... play with more intensity and just make smart decisions.

Do you have any future basketball plans?

I hope I can play in college, if I have anybody looking at me. Or, I could be a walk-on. It doesn't matter what school I play for, just so I play.

What part of the game do you like best?

Just dunking and stuff, I guess.

What's your ultimate dream in basketball?

I guess just like the alley-oop play and then dunking over somebody.
