EDWARD O. APPEL, Baltimore City Deputy Sheriff (Ret.), passed away January 15, 2007 at Florida Hospital-Ormond Beach, FL. A native of Baltimore MD, Mr. Appel moved to Ormond Beach, FL. in 1997 after retiring as a Deputy Sheriff from the Baltimore City Sheriff's Office in 1992. He was a member of the Maryland State Sheriff's Association, the American Legion Post #267, the Moose Lodge #1263 of Daytona Beach, and the Elks B.P.O. & E. Lodge #2193. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Rita V. of Ormond Beach; his daughters: Katheryn (John) Oakes, Donna Deans and Denise (Stephen) Lesniewski, all of Baltimore, MD; a son, Edward W. of Baltimore, MD: eight granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. A small service was held on January 19, 2007 at the Lohman Funeral Home-Ormond
