Chamber to present networking seminar

The Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will hold the next installment in its seminar series from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Small Business Development Center, 2660 Riva Road, Suite 200.

Seminar Tuesday on new businesses

SCORE Chapter 390 will conduct a seminar on "How to Start and Manage Your New Business" at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Big Vanilla Athletic Club, Community Meeting Room, 1209 Ritchie Highway, Arnold.

Six experts will speak on topics such as how to write a business plan, business entities and recordkeeping, risk management, marketing and sales, financial factors and sources of capital, and the library and other resources.

The cost is $60 and includes lunch. Registration is required.

Identity theft topic of forum

The Laurel Board of Trade will hold its first business forum of the new year at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pool Meeting Room, Ninth and Main streets, Laurel.

BWI partnership to hold breakfast

BWI Business Partnership Inc. will hold a Signature Series Breakfast from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the BWI Airport Marriott, 1743 Nursery Road.

Legislative agenda to be discussed

The Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will hold a legislative breakfast from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 West St.

The topic is the 2007 government relations agenda and how the chamber will work with elected officials. The cost is $40.

Meals on Wheels hires nutritionist

Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland has hired Stephanie A. McCoy as its nutritionist and dietitian.

McCoy is responsible for planning menus for Meals on Wheels' home-delivered meals program, senior centers, and adult and child day care programs.
