It seems only logical: Drop an egg off a third-story balcony, and you've got yourself a fine, gooey mess below. But can the same be said if the egg is cradled inside a cushy protective device? Visitors will learn the answer to that question and more about physics, including the science of gravity, velocity and force, at the program "Egg Drop, Price Drop" on Saturday at the Maryland Science Center.
The program runs Saturday mornings until noon through March 31. Visitors will be provided with all materials to create their own protective device, and Science Center staff will be on hand to offer advice.
Also through March 31, visitors will receive a $5 discounted admission before noon on Saturdays. The Maryland Science Center is at 601 Light St. Regular admission $9.50-$18. Call 410-685-5225 or marylandsciencecenter.org.
