The lowdown -- Search through Leight Park on Saturday for souvenirs from nature as part of the program "Journaling in January." The items you find will become part of your own nature journal. The event is sponsored by the Anita C. Leight Estuary Center.

Reptiles galore

The lowdown -- Saturday, Havre de Grace hosts the monthly All Maryland Reptile Show. This month's show features about 80 tables of vendors with reptiles, amphibians, pet food supplies, books and dry goods. Organizers expect about 1,000 people at the show.

Nautical and wildlife art

The lowdown -- Browse works from almost 100 artists from all around the country at the Nautical & Wildlife Art Festival this weekend. Held at the Ocean City Convention Center, it features decoys, paintings, sculptures, model ships and other works of art.
