The Baltimore Sun

It was 74 in Baltimore. "There was a hatless, almost coatless, procession on the streets ... and the large, rotund citizen, who goes along such days with his hat in one hand and a large handkerchief in the other, was seen on every street ... By leaps and bounds the mercury ascended ... The grass in the parks has grown a perceptibly brighter green ... Shrubs or trees which open their blossoms before the leaves ... readily respond to a few days of warm weather." -- The Sun, Jan. 8, 1907
