COLLEGE PARK -- Things never really did seem in sync for the Maryland women's basketball team in last night's Atlantic Coast Conference opener, from a botched jump ball to start the game, to 11 second-half turnovers and getting out-rebounded for the first time this season.
Yet, as good teams are forced to do to stay good, the top-ranked Terps found a way to get past their own mess, slogging out an 80-61 win over North Carolina State.
