Southern defeated visiting Meade, 64-58, last night, giving Linda Kilpatrick her 415th career victory, tying her with Old Mill's Pat Chance for the most all-time among Anne Arundel County girls basketball coaches.
"Pat Chance has been a mentor and friend," Kilpatrick said. "I am proud to be mentioned with her."
Though excited about the record, Kilpatrick said jokingly, "I would take a state championship over this."
Heather Schneck scored a game-high 26 points for Southern (8-2).
No. 1 St. Frances 90, St. John's Catholic Prep 34 -- Kandice Green scored 15 points to lead the host Panthers (9-3) to a big win over St. John's from Frederick County.
No. 15 Glenelg 67, Oakland Mills 37 -- Katie Biggs scored 23 points to lead the host Gladiators (8-3) past the Scorpions.

No. 4 Mount St. Joseph 51, Calvert Hall 44 -- Dino Gregory scored 17 points to lead the Gaels (9-3) over the host Cardinals (9-6). Mount St. Joseph took its largest lead of the game in the third quarter at 40-28.
No. 3 Randallstown 93, Overlea 58 -- Kim English scored 26 for the Rams (8-0), who breezed to a victory over the Falcons (6-1).
No. 8 Glen Burnie 78, Severna Park 76 -- Kareem Downs made two free throws with 14 seconds left in the third overtime to lead the Gophers (8-1). Severna Park, led by Keith Pack's 23 points, had two opportunities to win the game, late in the first and second overtimes. But officials called Pack for traveling with 11 seconds remaining in the first overtime, and the team failed to attempt a shot before the second extra period.
Annapolis 92, Old Mill 83 -- The Panthers (7-2) pushed their winning streak to seven games behind 29 points by David Chapman and 28 by Lateef Williams.
