And so, the (almost) streak of Dec. 5 snowfalls in Baltimore evaporates like ... well, like late-autumn snow. The coincidence of snow at BWI on three of the last four Dec. 5s fascinated some weather watchers. We had 7.4 inches in 2002; 6.8 inches in 2003, and 3.3 inches in 2005. (There was snow Dec. 6-11, 2004; does that count?) So we've heard plenty of chatter about what today's weather would bring. Instead, we sit this week beneath cold, dry Canadian air, chattering, but snowless.
