O'Fallon R. Wilson, a retired mathematics teacher, died Sunday of complications from an ankle fracture at Sinai Hospital. The Towson resident was 96.
Born O'Fallon Ray in Lancaster, Tenn., she earned a nursing degree from Vanderbilt University in 1931 and continued working there after graduation as a member of Dr. Alfred Blalock's operating room team.
She later earned a history degree from Mississippi Southern College, now the University of Southern Mississippi.
She moved to Baltimore in 1958 and taught mathematics at the Bryn Mawr School until her 1975 retirement.
Mrs. Wilson enjoyed travel, spending time in Ocean City and gardening.
A memorial service was held Wednesday.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Sharon Bingley of Towson; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her husband of 63 years, John P. Wilson, a Johns Hopkins University research mathematician, died in 2004.
